I’ve been using the Bingo experiences as a part of my Music Bingo nights by utilizing the digital experience with a Spotify playlist in the background. I create the the cards and add a LOT of pictures or GIF’s to the cards to make it more fun. I’d love to be able to save these so that I can reuse them as it takes a good amount of time to build a 75 square game of pics and GIF, but there is no way to Export a Bingo game.
Is there any other way to make it so that I can save the game an be able to use it later?
Can the Export feature be added to the Bingo games as well?
Welcome to Crowdpurr @tilt.karaoke. There is currently no way to export the bingo games. It may be something that Crowdpurr admin might be looking at, because there a few changes to be made i the future, I believe. I am sure a member of the team @RossN@jemma will be along very soon to give you an answer.
Yes, exporting bingo games is actually on the near-term feature list. We will probably have this ready in the next few weeks. I’ll confirm back here when we release the feature.
There is one gotcha, when exporting a bingo game (same for trivia and polls currently). Any uploaded GIFs will export and then re-import correctly because they’re simply a URL from GIPHY. But any uploaded images or stock images, will not re-import unless you have an existing game with those same images still in your account. As if you export a bingo/trivia game with uploaded images, they are also a URL, but they’ll be a URL to the current experience in Crowdpurr (or any other experience that uses those uploaded images). But if they all get removed, then so do the images. So re-importing will not work for those manually uploaded images. Hope that makes sense.
If you stick to GIPHY you’ll be fine. And we may also solve this issue in the near future as well.
Yes I agree that we need to be able to Export Bingo Games. It makes it hard and space limits for people if they are saving the games in the profile. And each account only allows so many boards / games to be setup. Bingo takes up way more games for me then Trivia. I can make many trivia games in one set of questions and Bingo we need one game for each.
Bingo has been something that gets neglected, last game made was over 5 months ago.
I agree, but these limitations are ultimately set by the plan we’ve purchased, or not, in the case of the free version. What we’re really asking is for the Crowdpurr team to provide us with a workaround that allows us to run more bingo-themed games. I know they already offer this kind of flexibility for quizzes, so my thinking is: if we need to take one quiz down and reload another, then so be it. That’s a manageable compromise, as long as it means we can keep the momentum going during our sessions.
The key point is that bingo isn’t just a game for us, it’s a community experience. The more variety and flexibility we can introduce, the more engaging it becomes for players. Allowing multiple bingo formats, or a way to rotate through them seamlessly, would really help us grow our events and make the platform more appealing overall.
