Presentation View Settings

Does anyone know if there’s a way to adjust settings so that “multiplexed” images on the Presentation View don’t get cutoff (see attached screenshots for examples). Just doesn’t look very professional so I’d like to adjust settings - and I’ve tried everything I know (PC settings, browser settings, system settings, etc.). Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t use them for that reason.
Also, some images added as a question note are also cut off on Present view….

Sucks to contemplate having to do likewise… but yes, better to avoid these types of questions as opposed to looking unprofessional. Grrrr.

I believe you can remove the pictures

I understand that… but is it too much to expect our presentation to look professional? We’re the ones presenting the games and I’m tired of apologizing for glitches, audio issues, sluggish system response times, etc. And if these particular questions/image containers can’t be adjusted properly, why does Crowdpurr program them to begin with? It just makes it more frustrating and time consuming to have to “fix” what shouldn’t be broken to begin with.

Hi @tanewton99, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear you’re encountering issues with the platform.

We’ll be sure to pass your comments regarding how answer option images are displayed on the Presentation View along to our team for review. If you continue to encounter problems such as glitches, audio issues, or issues with system performance, please feel free to reach out to our Help Desk at help@crowdpurr.com with details about your experience, as we’re always happy to take a closer look and assist further.

Thank you, Jemma - I always appreciate your attention to issues like this. That said, I reported inconsistent audio volumes between Crowdpurr’s inherent background music and SFX vs. that of YouTube clips and as of this date, nothing’s been done to (literally) level those inconsistencies out. The more recent (i.e., past couple of months) issue involving system glitches/lag as I traverse from presenting the question then subsequently the results, the correct answer, any fun facts and team rankings is relatively recent - and embarrassing. It honestly happens at least 3-4 times per event, with each instance lasting at least 10-20 seconds, and I have to make excuses to my audience which is truly unprofessional. I’m confident is has nothing to do with the venue’s dedicated, fiber based I-net connection, which is consistently super fast and the Wifi channel I connect to is dedicated solely to the venue’s business needs (i.e., their patron Wifi service runs on a separate channel and doesn’t draw bandwidth from the private channel I connect to). Anyway, I’m not sure if other hosts experience the same types of issues but I certainly am… and it’s quite frustrating.

Also, several hosts have asked to have access to a “blank poll” screen (of sorts) so we can utilize them for promotional purposes (including our own DJ/Hosting services). The standard Crowdpurr answer seems to be ”great idea, we’re working on it and/or look for it in an upcoming release”… yet I haven’t heard or seen anything announcing such a feature. I just can’t imaging it being that difficult to clone the existing code of any of the poll pages in order to create an additional blank panel (with the ability to allow us to place simple text and images within), so if you can give us an eta on that enhancement, I know I’d appreciate it. And yes, I know I could create such “billboards” in programs like PowerPoint and switch over from the Crowdpurr platform between games, but I only give my fans a 10-minute (max) break between rounds and I program music as well as make multiple announcements… so switching between ecosystems would be cumbersome (and the look/feel between them would be noticeable). In short, it would be far easier to program these custom promotional panels within my Crowdpurr event and just let the system do its thing - so I’m hoping you folks can implement this feature sooner than later. Appreciate the consideration.
