Please consider creating a simple “blank” experience (or poll, etc.) so we can customize them with promotional information on behalf of our venue clients or companies who are donating items in support of our events. Ideally, having dedicated spaces for images (minimally one smaller image for my logo to promote my business and one larger one for promotional purposes), and a space to add text based information would be sufficient enough. To sweeten the pot, definitely include the Crowdpurr logo, as well
My best client is always asking me if I can “put up info on the big screen TV’s” in their venue during trivia events to promote other events, functions, specials, etc., and aside from creating polls (which don’t suffice in this instance), I can’t accommodate them. As such, having access to this type of feature would go a long, long way to providing added value… and I’m sure I can’t be the only host who’s contemplated or asked for something similar to be incorporated and offered.
Appreciate the alternative suggestions, but I’d prefer to keep the same look and feel for my entire event by staying inside of the Crowdpurr ecosystem, for lack of better term. I can’t speak for other hosts, but in between rounds I’m tied up playing music and making announcements, so having to switch platforms is an extra step I’d prefer to avoid. And honestly, adding such a feature is a system enhancement that stands to benefit all involved entities , so I can’t and don’t see why Crowdpurr can’t implement it.
Yeah, we’ve had a feature like this on our long-term roadmap for a long time. Its working title is currently called “Slides” with the idea being that you can add a “slide” after a question, so you could go Q4, Q5, Slide 1, Q6, etc.
Then on the slide you could add text, subtext, images, one giant image, etc. And you could then dynamically show this in the right sequence with the other questions. It could even be used to announce different rounds, or points wager questions, or intro instructions/rules, etc.
It gets tricky with how to display it in two different aspect ratios though - in 16x9 on the Presentation View and 4x5 on the Participant View. If you’re using a full-screen image, we’ve have to support two different images. If it’s just text and sub-text you can add, that gets more manageable.
Anyway, we want to add something like this, but it’s a bit of a longer-term roadmap feature.
Appreciate the update and info, Ross - and grateful you’re thinking about incorporating multiple slides. That actually exceeds my concept and I’ll look forward to the rollout. But in the interim, would it be possible to duplicate the structure of the “Social Wall” (or one of the current polls) and allow us to simply insert JPG’s or GIF’s (as opposed to feeds or questions) to promote events, sponsors, etc.? We could easily clone and customize them and it would work across the multiple aspect ratios, hence giving us an adequate temporary solution - and a much appreciated one! Food for thought… and thanks, again.
