Hi there! Is there an easier way to hide and show the QR code and URL for players to log in? When we run these games for large corporate groups, individuals will often file into a ballroom where the display is on a screen or a projector. We don’t necessarily want them logging in right away, as they get settled in their seats (we might need to change seats or teams depending on attendance)
Right now, I have the presentation view on the screen, and a duplicate presentation screen on my laptop screen, where I can pull open the settings and make changes that apply to the projected screen, without having to open the settings menu for all to see. Is there a button or hot key that can toggle those displayed login credentials on and off? Thanks for any insight in advance!
Hi…when you move your cursor on the projector screen a small gear icon appears in the bottom right..click it.
A list will pop up and the option to turn off “Show QR code) is fourth from the bottom.
You can do this on your projector screen on your laptop without it appearing on the big screen!
Hiya Garry! Yep, that’s my current workaround, is to have both Presentation views, one on laptop and one on the big screen, but I was wondering if there was a more effective way that didn’t need to have two of the same tab open. Appreciate the response, my friend!
As Garry mentioned, the best approach would be to toggle the Show QR Code setting off via the Presentation View’s menu panel. At this time, there’s not currently a hotkey designed for this setting that also works on the Experience Dashboard versus solely on the Presentation View; however, this would be a great feature to add to the platform so we’ll be sure to relay this to our team for their review.
You’re wanting to dynamically enable the QR code on the Presentation View without the crowd actually seeing the menu.
Indeed, at the moment, you cannot do this without the work-around you’re already doing. In a near-future update, we’ll be pulling all those Presentation View (and Participant View) settings into the Experience Dashboard so you can configure them in real-time without any participants seeing your updates. We’ll also keep them where they are on the Presentation View as well. But it wouldn’t hurt to have the ability to do what you’re describing here.
