Survivor Mode Incorrect Answer Count Feature

So a fun game I’ve been experimenting with is a cash-pot survivor game. All teams put $5 in the pot, and the last team standing takes the pot. I want this to be fast-paced and hectic so I make the questions 30 second true or false. The problem is, sometimes the games end after two or three questions, and that’s anticlimactic for everyone.

I would like to suggest a modification to survivor round where you could indicate the number of questions a team can get wrong before they are kicked out. E.g., once you get (some #) questions wrong, you’re out. Conversely (or perhaps simultaneously) the first team to get (some #) questions right automatically wins (or, if multiple teams hit that # on the same Q, it goes to sudden death.

This would allow survivor games to go on longer and be more engaging.

Not sure if this has been suggested before, but would love to have the team consider it.

Adding a count for how many incorrect answers you’re allowed to have before being eliminated seems like a good approach to this problem.

Another approach is to just make the earlier questions easier. This will allow everyone to stay in the game longer. This was also the format of HQ Trivia (what Survivor Trivia is based off). Their games always started out easy. We try to do this in all of our Trivia Library games. The first three questions are softballs, to allow everyone to feel like they’ll be able to compete, then it they get progressively harder with the most difficult questions being the last two or three.

But adding the above extra feature(s) for Survivor Mode would help too. Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll discuss this with the team.
