As I understand currently there is no way to create different rounds within a one game. That would be really useful. Also, option to add a blank slide/screen between questions (rounds) would make much sense.
Would be happy to hear others’ opinion on this functionality.
I totally agree! We now have 8 different experiences linked to each other for seperation but it would be great if there is an option to add a blank/non-question slide. Perhaps with Youtube support, that way it could also double to show a (fullscreen) YouTube video before you have a question about that video…
EDITED to better answer the OP
This doesn’t specifically answer the question to keep it all in one experience or have a blank slide, but I did something similar linking multiple experiences:
Back in the 2020 social distancing days I built a game linking multiple experiences. I took advantage of the option to push participants to different experiences, which you can do at any point if you so wish - instead of just at the end.
So what I did was create one experience as the starting, mid, and endpoint. That’s where participants would sign up, join teams, and learn how we would play the game. I’d start with a couple practice questions before moving them to the first round.
After each round, I would move them back to the initial experience. Between rounds I’d leave them on a different question. I liked to run a poll (a question with no correct answer) or a bonus trivia question; a crowd favorite was voting on the best team name. I’d reveal the answers/winner and move to the next round.
It can also be helpful to set a timer on these questions to show them the time left on the break.
The hardest part was resetting and changing the next round from the initial experience between rounds - whereas all the others you can preset the initial experience as the “next round”
I also had to reopen the initial experience and set it to the question I wanted them to come back to.
Maybe this helps explain it clearer.
Set up 4 experiences:
TRIVIA NIGHT
ROUND 1
ROUND 2
FINAL ROUND
And run it like this:
TRIVIA NIGHT >> ROUND 1
ROUND 1 >> TRIVIA NIGHT
TRIVIA NIGHT >> ROUND 2
ROUND 2 >> TRIVIA NIGHT
TRIVIA NIGHT >> FINAL ROUND
FINAL ROUND >> TRIVIA NIGHT
Hope this helps.
