Is there a way to make the audio louder in the system settings? The levels compared to other music playing programs is a bit off, and when I’m running the show, the music and SFX are really soft, even at max volume, compared to other apps like YouTube music. Not sure if I’m missing a setting somewhere.
Just to clarify, are you currently referring to the volume background music and sound effects streamed on the Participant View and Presentation View? Or just one of these views?
Presentation! Since our groups are playing near each other, and every person logs in, I refrain from sfx on phones so it doesn’t get too noisy at their tables.
Thanks for this clarification and feedback! At this time, there’s not currently a way to customize the audio volume for the default background music and sound effects; however, adding a way to do so would be a helpful feature to add, so we’ll be sure to relay this to our team for their consideration.
While on the topic of background music and SFX, woyld be good to have more options on music and more sound effects throughout the game….particularly on Presenation View. Cheers!
Agreed! And the ability to upload our own would be a definite nice to have! As well as a dedicated “play music on presentation” button on the dashboard. I know I have the mute option, but sometimes it’s helpful to pause the music while we break between rounds or sets of questions without having to dig deeper into tabs.
I asked this very question months ago and nothing’s been done about it. Again, the simple fix would be to increase the levels of the background music (a lot) because the volume of YouTube clips blow my speakers off of their stands if I’m not quick enough to drop the levels of the presentation view (I also don’t enable audio on player’s phones). I’ve tried lowering the volume of YT clips in advance when I’m building an event (and even tried muting some), but it seems as though the system doesn’t save whatever steps I’ve taken to manually adjust YT clip volume once I tee the event up again at the venue - which is both frustrating an extremely annoying. Until Crowdpurr figures out a solution, I’m simply eliminating YT clips from any/every game they’re pre-programmed in and finding/uploading GIF’s that correspond to the question so I can just keep playing the music track. Certainly not a great solution, but I know it’s far less embarrassing than scaring the crap out of my client’s patrons and/or blowing expensive speakers
