Hello!!! Nice to meet the community. Is there a roadmap for buzz-in functionality? Our attendees have used buzzers on other programs in the past, and love to use it as a “fastest wins” and as an opportunity in smaller groups to yell out their answers. Would appreciate any insight, thanks!
Hi @tom1, thanks for posting!
At this time, Crowdpurr Trivia doesn’t currently have a “buzz-in” feature that allows a single player to answer a question based on which player or team has buzzed in first; however, I’m happy to provide a workaround you may be interested in if you’d like to assign bonus points for players/teams who have yelled out answers as correct.
For instance, you can assign players with bonus points such as points earned from the “shout-out” quuestion (e.g. bonus activities, “shout out” questions, etc.). You would simply have to manually edit the player’s rankings in order to award them with bonus points.
Please visit the following Help Center article for more information on how to edit player rankings:

Implementing a “buzzer” feature would definitely be an interesting ability to add on the platform, so we’ll be sure to relay this feature suggestion over to our Development Team.
A good idea, I asume they would have a button on their device?
Exactly! You could enable the buzzer via a hot-key, or it goes “live” after a set amount of time (time enough to read the question)
You could see your placement on the screen when you click the button, and there could be a spot on the back dashboard where you can see the order of buzz-ins. I can see the difficulty of assigning point values as per Jemma’s response, but it would be real fun!
