"The site can't provide a secure connection" Error

We are getting a strange error when people try to scan the QR or directly access with the code and sign in to crowd.live. The browser reports “The site can’t provide a secure connection”

We think it MIGHT have something to do with our router, but we can access the crowdpurr.com site fine. Have there been any other reported issues with the site not being secure?

Thanks, Patrick

Hi there, thanks for posting!

We’d be happy to look into this further; however, we do have a few follow up questions:

  • Do you know what type of internet connection participants are using when witnessing this error? (i.e., Venue WiFi network, home Wifi network, etc.)
  • Does connecting to a different network such as cellular hotspot result in the same error code when loading crowd.live?

We have a venue wifi, but not everyone uses it. Those that do use it can not connect. When we have them turn off their wifi and connect using their data plan, it works fine.

I’m pretty good with computers, and the only thing I can think of is that there is some strange setting in the either the router or in the domain config settings.

And of course, tonight when I ask people to log in, everything is working fine. It wasn’t working for a couple of weeks though.

Hopefully it was a temporary thing and we will be fine going forward.

Thanks for your quick response.
