I would love to see a features that lets me track when a trivia game was last played or some sort of symbol that identifies trivia games that have already been played in the past.
I play often with the same audience and many times, we have started a trivia game only to discover that we have already played it.
If there is some way to track the games that I have played (like a “Last Played date) or create some sort of identifier that allows me to quickly identify games that have already been played, that would be extremely useful.
With Crowdpurr Trivia, I’m afraid there’s not currently a way to view whether a question from the Trivia Library has already been used in an Experience on the current platform; however, having the ability to indicate whether a prewritten game has already been used in the Trivia Library would be a helpful feature to add to the platform so I’ve jotted this feature suggestion down for our team’s review.
In the meantime, we can think of one workaround you may be interested in to avoid using duplicate questions for future Trivia Games. As a workaround, we recommend keeping an external log of questions to reference when creating multiple games. As you create new games, you can then reference the list to ensure you are not including questions that you have already included in previous games. Additionally, you may also want to use the Export Questions tool in order to quickly combine questions into a list of already-used questions.
Here’s more information on how the Export Questions tool works:
Thank you for the response and also thank you for the suggestion.
The suggestion to keep an offline log of prewritten games and/or questions would work for those that are configuring games prior to an event.
In my case, there is no prior setup. It tends to be more players choice on the spot selection of prewritten games. So, in our gameplay, we allow each player to have an opportunity to choose a prewritten game to be played by everyone. My group tends to have alot of “regulars” that have participated in my events many times, and therefore it the regulars have an unfair advantage over others to repeat a previously played prewritten game. This is why some sort of easily identifiable visual cue to allow me to track the prewritten games would be extremely helpful.
As an additional note, this visual cue does not need to be anything too complicated. How about a button to manually mark a prewritten game as played? This simple manual indicator would work perfectly. Then you can show a check mark or some sort of visual cue to indicate that the prewritten game has been played previously.
This would be a simple, non-complicated, unsophisticated method to solve this problem.
