Disabling Points and Polls in Experiences

Hello all! Is there a way to disable scoring any points at all for certain questions in an experience? As of right now, I ask a few poll questions to get people in the crowd warmed up. Since I’m only using the question to see the distribution of answers submitted, is there a way to not have it valued as points? I put 1 for the moment, to make it inconsequential. Side note, would love to see more poll integration in quiz experiences!

Not really for multiple questions but if you only need it for one question, to guage the number of answers, the FIRST question of the game (or each round/game) can be made a practice question. You’ll see the numbers. Points won’t count.

And now that I’ve typed that out, I just thought of another way… if you are only looking for numbers… just don’t mark an answer as correct. Show the question, see the results on the screen… you can even show the results. As long as none of the answers are marked correct, no points will be awarded.

Hi @tom1,

Great question! As @dandeibert mentioned, you can insert poll questions into a trivia game by not marking a correct answer for a multiple-choice question. With this approach, you’ll be able to view the answer results while also not awarding any points for any responses submitted by players.

I’ve done that for the time being, but would love to have access to the other types of polls without the workaround, and without having to mess with the scores. Appreciate the insight from the community!

As far as I am aware you can’t set the questions to zero points, but you could give them a negligble 1 point for each question.

We’re working on allowing proper polls questions to be added to trivia games, but it’s not something that will be ready in the near-term.
